Teachers & Educators
“Two-thirds of teachers may want to quit the profession, while 36.4 percent are likely to quit.”(SOURCE: Teacher drug use: a response to occupational stress. Watts WD, Short AP. J Drug Educ. 1990;20(1):47-65. PMID: 2348305)
Those in the educational profession are more than just teachers. They are role models, mentors, and can sometimes even adopt parental roles for their students. This can lead to burn-out and unhealthy methods of coping.
Parkdale Center is aware of the necessity of balancing your career, your personal life, and your sobriety. We offer specialized treatment programs that cater to the specific needs of your profession.

Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) offers intensive and comprehensive services to individuals facing substance abuse or addiction challenges. This structured program provides the necessary support for those requiring more assistance than traditional outpatient treatment but without the need for 24-hour medical supervision.
Participants attend therapy sessions multiple times a week, engaging in individual counseling and group therapy that addresses their unique needs and addiction-related challenges.

Parkdale’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is an intermediary level of care between traditional outpatient and inpatient treatment. IOP offers a structured and supportive environment where individuals can share experiences, receive guidance, and learn coping skills to manage cravings and triggers associated with addiction.
The program focuses on relapse prevention techniques, education about addiction and mental health, and adopting healthier coping mechanisms.
Outpatient aftercare is a vital component of the rehabilitation process for individuals who have completed primary inpatient or intensive outpatient treatment for substance abuse or addiction. This program provides crucial support during the transition back to regular daily life.
