Partial Hospitalization

The Parkdale Partial Hospitalization Program is an intensive, full-time program that includes access to all of Parkdale’s treatment services. Full-time programming also incorporates group therapeutic systems and life skills training. Professionals reside together with other highly accountable professionals in Parkdale’s beautiful, serene, and historic facility. Located near the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan, Parkdale Center can be reached in less than an hour from Chicago, South Bend, and the Michigan border. The length of this portion of the program varies by your individual needs.

WHILE IN TREATMENT

You will have access to all Parkdale services:
  • These services are designed for the professional and include a host of stress and addiction management therapies such as mindfulness meditation, cognitive therapy, understanding relapse, and more.
  • You'll receive therapeutic programming at least 5 days a week for a minimum of 3 hours per day.
  • Families and employers are also provided with support and education tools on how to improve outcomes during this stage.

Clients will receive the following therapeutic services:

        • Mindfulness, meditation, creative expression and many other holistic and alternative treatments

        • Exercise therapy including gym visits and free membership at the Duneland YMCA

        • On and offsite 12-step support meetings

Clients will receive a comprehensive education on the science and treatment of addiction and recovery including:

        • Alcohol and drug education

        • Psychoeducation covering mental health conditions commonly co-existing with addiction

        • Medication education

        • Guest lectures from the addiction, healthcare, legal, regulatory and other communities

Additional resources include:

        • Gratitude

        • Nutritional guidance

        • Spiritual guidance

        • Family support, including 2-day in-person Family Programs and weekly support Zoom meetings, focused on addiction education, family dynamics, healthy relationships, and how to support a loved one in recovery

        • Random drug screens to ensure compliance

After this phase, it is essential that we move towards establishing new habits for home use. However, it must be done with great care and supervision in order to manage triggers that could overtake your success in recovery. The next stage is the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
FOR MONITORED PROFESSIONALS SEEKING TREATMENT

Given the nature of the potential regulatory and legal implications for those monitored professionals seeking treatment, Parkdale is dedicated to working closely as the liaison between the individual and these agencies, to ensure compliance. These agencies might include regulatory, licensing, employment, and law enforcement entities. Our treatment, advocacy services, and assistance are done with the goal of restoring hope and rebuilding lives.
