Drug Rehab for Dentists
Although research specifies that dentists are no more – or less – likely to develop a substance use disorder than the general population, we know that it will still happen. In other words, 10-15% of dentists will have a drug and/or alcohol problem at some point in their lives. (SOURCE: American Association of Dental Office Management (AADOM))
Dentists, just like other health professionals, are generally trusted by their patients. They are expected to be responsible for their own health and well-being, and can sometimes be portrayed as impenetrable to health issues like substance use disorders.
When a dentist is affected by a substance use disorder, it can threaten not only their lives but it can jeopardize the life of their patients as well.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is a structured treatment program that provides intensive and comprehensive services for individuals struggling with substance abuse or addiction issues. It is designed for those who require more support than traditional outpatient treatment but do not need 24-hour medical supervision provided in an inpatient/residential setting.
Participants attend therapy sessions several times a week, receiving individual counseling and group therapy to address their specific needs and challenges related to addiction.

Our IOP drug rehab is a level of care that falls between traditional outpatient treatment and residential/inpatient treatment. IOP provides a more intensive and structured form of therapy and support for individuals dealing with substance abuse or addiction issues.
IOPs offer a structured and supportive environment where individuals can share their experiences, receive guidance, and learn coping skills to manage cravings and triggers associated with addiction.
IOPs often emphasize relapse prevention techniques and provide education on addiction, mental health, and healthier coping mechanisms.
Outpatient aftercare is an essential component of the rehabilitation process for individuals who have completed a primary inpatient or intensive outpatient treatment program for substance abuse or addiction. It plays a crucial role in supporting individuals as they transition from a structured treatment environment back into their regular daily lives.

Parkdale is able to do this by helping you enter into a comprehensive return-to-work contract with either your current employer or potentially a new one.
