Addiction Treatment Programs

At Parkdale Center, we offer a range of treatment programs, each designed to meet specific needs and deliver certain benefits.

Our programs include individual counseling, group therapy, and family support. We also offer specialized services such as medication management, substance abuse treatment, anger management, and trauma-informed care. Our goal is to create an environment where clients feel comfortable enough to confront the issues that are causing them distress and work towards a healthier future.

We believe in providing a holistic approach to therapy, incorporating physical and mental activities into our treatment plans. This can include yoga, recreational activities like hiking and sports, nutrition counseling, and art therapy. We strive to create a calming and respectful atmosphere while still challenging clients to confront difficult issues in their lives.

Recovery should be a collaborative process between our staff and the individuals we serve. We aim to empower our clients to take an active role in their own recovery, providing them with the tools and support they need to make lasting changes.

Below is a look at the types of programs we offer to best support you or your loved one during their journey to healing.

At Parkdale Center, we know that everyone's needs are different when it comes to treating substance use disorders (SUD). Some people struggling with SUD can experience withdrawal symptoms when they stop using drugs or alcohol. The effects of withdrawal on the body and mind can differ from person to person, but they can be uncomfortable and, when not addressed correctly, dangerous.

Withdrawal symptoms typically occur 6-24 hours after someone with a dependence stops using. The severity and duration of withdrawal are dependent on the length of time abusing the substance, type of substance abused, family history, and medical and mental health history. For some, detoxification is required to ensure their safety while they withdraw. Parkdale Center does not provide detoxification services. However, we do have a withdrawal management program for those who can withdraw safely.

Our withdrawal management program gives you guided, individualized support throughout your withdrawal. The first step is to perform a comprehensive mental and physical health assessment so we can establish the kind of support program that will work best for you.

The Parkdale Partial Hospitalization Program is an intensive, full-time program with access to all Parkdale's treatment services. Full-time programming also incorporates group therapeutic systems and life skills training. Patients reside together with other highly accountable professionals in Parkdale's beautiful, serene, and historic facility.

Intensive outpatient programs are used as a step-down approach after the completion of PHP. Our IOP approach focuses on group therapy to promote healing and a healthy lifestyle. Your success in these programs strengthens your overall sobriety while laying a solid foundation for future advocacy. Parkdale will work with you locally or via Telehealth IOP from wherever you call home to ensure you are receiving the best-continuing care. To learn more about IOP click here.

At our Indiana-based center, dual diagnosis treatment involves a comprehensive and nuanced approach sensitive to the complex interactions between mental health and substance use disorders. Utilizing evidence-based strategies, the center's team of dedicated professionals ensures patients receive an all-encompassing, integrated treatment that addresses both disorders concurrently.

Parkdale's dual diagnosis treatment is rooted in understanding the unique struggles of each patient. They recognize that co-occurring disorders are not a series of isolated events but interconnected issues that necessitate a coordinated treatment plan. The center's programs are designed with this understanding at the core, focusing on strategies that promote self-awareness, emotional resilience, and effective coping mechanisms.
